Eligibility Criteria

How to Apply

The students seeking admission to the college should apply in the application form available on payment of the prescribed fee, including the cost of prospectus. The amount may be paid either in cash or by a postal Order/Crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Hon. Secretary, Sri Venkateshwara College of Fine Arts, Madhapur. The completed application forms along with Aptitude Test fee, true copies of certificates relating to the qualifying examination and three passport size photographs attested by a Gazetted Officer should reach the office of the Hon. Secretary, Sri Venkateshwara College of Fine Arts, Madhapur, on or before the date mentioned in the application form.

List of documents to be submitted along with the application form.

1. S.S.C. or its equivalent certificate.
2. Memorandum of Marks.
3. Caste Certificate from a Competent Authority. (for BC,SC,ST only)]
4. Conduct Cerfificate.

Examination

As the college is affiliated to Osmania University,students 1 are required to abide by the rules,regulations and the recommendations of the university in matters relating to syllabus, scheme of examination,system of examination,award of marks and division,etc.

The college does not undertake the supply of any art materials for various courses of study for the class work. Students will have to make their own arrangements in this respect (like colours,papers, canvas,brushes,camera,etc)

All rules relating to the conduct and discipline as recommended by the Osmania University will apply to the students of this college.

Fees


As prescribed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh from time to time. For details contact the college office. Fees payable in lumpsum before the commencement of the academic year.

Scholarships

The college provides scholarships to economically and socially backward students in accordance with such principles as may from time to time be determined by the Government in this behalf. Apart from this,a few merit-cum-mcans scholarships and other educational concessions/ freeships are available to deserving candidates.

Government agencies also award stipends to deserving candidates belonging to weaker sections of the society.

Reservations In pursuance of the national social policy as enshrined in the constitution, every possible encouragement is extended to socially and educationally backward classes. The College reserves seats for the members of the socially backward classes, the scheduled castes and scheduled tribes in accordance with such principles as may from time to time be determined by Government in this behalf. The backward class/scheduled cast61scheduled tribe candidates seeking admission shall produce Community Certificate in the 'bed form appended to the application in support of their prescri social status claim. If the Community Certificate is not furnished in the prescribed form, the same shall not be accepted.

Ill. Age limit There is no age restriction to seek admission to any of these courses.

1 V. Aptitude Test The Aptitude Test in each course for Painting and Applied Arts consists of the following subjects carrying a total of 150 marks in each course.

Objectet Drawing : (60 marks, duration : 1 hour) Candidates will be asked to draw the objects displayed to test their skill in sketching ability.

b) Colour Design: (60 marks, duration : 1 hour) Candidates will be asked to colour the given drawing to judge the colour sensitivity. The colour schemes to be used are left to the discretion of the candidates.

c) Objective Type : (30 marks, duration : 112 hour) Candidates will be asked to answer a question paper consisting of the objective type of questions (multiple choice questions and fill- in-the-blanks) to test their knowledge in the subject concerned. The Aptitude Test in Photography consists of the following subjects carrying a total of 120 marks and of 2 hours duration.

a) Objective Type : (60 marks, duration: 1 hour) Candidates will be asked to answer 60 questions. Topics : Visual Arts like Photography, Film & Television, Sound perception, History & Culture, Current Affairs, Science & Technology, Sports Numerical Reasoning, Logic, etc.

b) Composition & Visualisation: (60 marks, duration: 1 hour) Depth : 2D to 3D Shadings, Overlapping etc. Optical Illusions Reflection, Refraction, Diffusion.

Negative & Positive images etc. Visual Composition Shapes, Lines, Dimensions, Relevant objects, etc. The seats are allotted purely on merit.
